Mandee… if you go through the notes on the Facebook page you’ll find the recipes for the date bars. They were one of my “sneak peek” recipes for the books.]]>
The date, pecan, blueberry & ginger bars sound delicous!]]>
Your recipe sounds delightful! And thank you for the link to your FB page, it will come in handy.
You’re right about the fresh dates (these must have been older than I’d remembered them). Next time, I will make more time to make sure everything is how it should be :/ Running out of time is no good, but always seems to happen to me before trips. I have high hopes for the next trip, though, since it likely won’t happen until spring.]]>
And yes, the book is really great. I think I might make a bunch of stuff to keep around the house too]]>
How wonderful to stumble upon this review of my book while having my morning tea. (smiles)
I seem to be stuck in a post-publishing creative spurt. This always happens so I post the odd new recipe on my Facebook page. I thought you might enjoy the latest one for Quinoa and Bean Chili with Tomatillos…
Thank you so much for taking time to write about your experiences with my book and posting a photo of your dried foods.
PS Fresh dates make the world of difference.]]>
Another Fork in the Trail sounds fantastical on a bunch of levels, fo ‘sho! while dan isn’t the biggest fan of camping, i’d like to go again sometime and i have a few friends who camp pretty regularly. totally gonna recommend the book to them ’cause they’re always struggling on finding awesome eats to bring along.]]>
