Quick post tonight – I’m beat! In addition to eating and preparing raw food when I’m not working, I’m photographing a friend’s knit/crochet crafts for her etsy site. It’s good fun, but lots of work!
Had a giant green smoothie for breakfast. When I got home, I made a Pad Thai-style noodle dish except I was out of almond butter, so I used tahini. It was yummy!
After a few errands and my volunteer shift, I met my fellow detoxer at Ecopolitan for a veritable feast! We started with drinks… for him a blackberry peach iced tea and for me (in the foreground) a Tasty Tonic – apple, cucumber, red bell pepper, and lime.
We split an appetizer: the Cashew “Cheese” Log with black olives, balsamic red onions, and flax crackers. So, so good… I would totally get it again and it might even fool some dairy eaters into imagining it was some fancy soft cheese.
He had the Eco Burger (the condiments are raw!) with a side of borscht. So pretty, so tasty.
I went for the Hawaiian pizza: pineapple, macadamias, bell peppers, red onions and cilantro over marinara on a buckwheat-flax crust. Mmmm…
For dessert, we split two! The ever-popular parfait of whipped fruit over dates and coconut.
And a pumpkin pie! This was so amazing and we were totally glad our server talked us into it. Plus, we were so full I could only eat a couple bites so I have leftovers for tomorrow!
That’s all for today, dears. More tomorrow!
I’m really, really enjoying your raw week posts. Everything looks incredibly fresh and delicious. You’re inspiring me to make some of the more gourmet raw dishes that I usually save for special ocassions. It is good to celebrate a little bit each day! Friday seems like a good reason for a pizza and a parfait.
Wow all the food looks so amazing!!
Thanks for sharing.
Your raw dinner looks so fantastic. The pumpkin pie reminds me of my last raw food adventure. This past Feb, whilst on a trip across the channel to London, we went to a great raw food rest called Saf. Amazingly yummy (terrible service though), and I had the pumpkin pie that they too had on their desert menu. I agree with you – this is a perfect raw food desert!
Glad you had such a yummy time.
Good luck with your photos.
Holy freaking crap! I can only imagine what it would be like to live near a raw restaurant…I am blown away by everything you guys got to eat. And i’m terribly jealous. And hungry.
Wow that hawaiian pizza looks so good. And the pumpkin pie too.
I’ve never been to a raw food restaurant before…they definitely don’t have that type of food where I’m from…but when I go down to the city next weekend I’m going to try to find a raw restaurant and drag some of my omni friends with me hahaha!
You have such a great eye for food. I’ve been enjoying the raw week as well.
I am so jealous! That place looks amazing!! Raw pumpkin pie? WOW! I am drooling over here! mmm!
Woah!! Everything is so beautiful. I’m in awe!
I really love all your raw food photos =) It all looks amazing, delicious and healthy! I have tried to eat high raw recently, but I could not stick to the diet for a very long. But I have learned to do delicious green smoothies, which now I have everyday for breakfast (before it, I was a little bit afraid of green smoothies…I didn’t expect that blended spinach, lettuce and greens can taste so good when you mix them with fruit!)
Unfortunately, there are no raw restaurants here, in Barcelona u_u (actually, it is even difficult to find a vegetarian restaurant) So I can’t make most of the dishes of the photo because you need a dehydrator, or a powerful blender (I have just a hand blender)
That raw pumpkin pie looks specially delicious =)
God, I wish we had a fancy raw restaurant in Memphis! That food looks gorgeous, and I’d love to dine on things like that I didn’t have to spend hours preparing. We do have a raw cafe that serves burgers and a few carrot pulp-salad type dishes…but nothing fancy.
Every thing looks so tasty. Its nice to see the dishes we have been thinking about ordering on a future visit1 Those deserts look amazing too!
That Pad Thai looks SO good! What kind of tool/spiralizer do you use for your noodles? They always look so perfect! Is it a certain brand or something?
I am in love with Ecopolitan…we need to go together sometime

The parfait & pie are insane!
Yum, I really need to try a dessert from Ecopolitan!
All this looks incredible! Can’t wait to see more!
Drool. It all looks amazing. Especially like the design of the condiments on the burger. The pumpkin pie shot is killing me.
Such spectacular-looking food!!
